Relive the nostalgic story of the Pokémon™ Pearl version game in a reimagined adventure, Pokémon Shining Pearl, now on the Nintendo Switch™ system! The adventures in Pokémon Pearlescent take place in the well-known Sinnoh region. Rich in nature and with the mighty Mount Coronet at its heart, Sinnoh is a land of many myths passed down through the ages. You choose either Turtwig, Chimchar, or Piplup as your first partner Pokémon, then embark on your journey to become the Pokémon League Champion. Along the way, you’ll meet the mysterious organization Team Galactic and encounter the Legendary Pokémon Palkia.
Explore the redesigned Great Underground or put on a super competitive show
The Underground from the Pokémon Pearl version has been pimped and is now called the Great Underground. Here you can dig up valuable treasure and Pokémon fossils, build your own secret base, and catch Pokémon in places called Pokémon Hideouts. When you’re not exploring the Great Underground, you can take part in a super competitive show! Super Competitive Shows are popular events in the Sinnoh region where four performers and their partner Pokémon work together to dance and show off their skills. You can also adventure in the Great Underground or put on a super competitive show with other players using your Nintendo Switch system‘s local or online communications!
Pokemon Shining Pearl Walk with your Pokémon, change your style, and customize your Poké Balls.
Choose a Pokemon you befriended on your journey to run after you in the game. You can run with up to 6 Pokémon on the relaxing Amity Square! Depending on the Pokémon, you’ll see different gestures or ways of walking, and if you talk to your Pokémon, it will respond. You can also add your own personal style! Choose a variety of outfits and mix and match tops and bottoms. Some are based on Pokémon themes and others change your hairstyle. With the Capsule Decoration, you can even add stickers to customize the effects that appear when your Pokémon comes out of its Poké Ball™!
