Story

Pokemon Fire Ash is based on the anime. We’re talking about the anime starring Ash Ketchum. It starts in the very first season in the Indigo League and even your starting Pokemon is Pikachu. It ends up in the Alola region, but that’s no big deal. Although it is based on the anime’s story, there are some slight changes and some things not included due to limitations.

Characteristics

The game is based on the story of the anime. This means that any Pokemon Ash catches in the series are automatically yours. What you do with them afterwards is entirely up to you. Based on the story you will also meet characters and encounter rivals and villains from the series. You can travel through the seven regions including Orange Island.

That means there are over 50 gyms in the game for you to conquer. This increases the fun factor immensely and not to forget the Pokemon. You have access to over 800 Pokemon for the National Dex. The Pokemon list consists of Pokemon up to Generation VII. There are over 100 TMs to use and HMs are no longer part of the game. There are substitutes for HMs that perform such functions.

Mega Evolutions are also available in the game, as well as items up to Generation VI. Pokemon that evolve through trading no longer require this feature. There are Pokemon that can evolve through leveling, or other evolution items that can do the job. And finally, Pokemon Fire-Ash, while not perfect yet, will have an online feature later.
