Description
The year is 1571 and it is about a thousand years since the great war, the Crisis, ended. The world has been at peace for a long time, but now the shady Maxime has founded an organization for his mysterious plans – he wants to collect magical elemental orbs that nobody else seems to know anything about.
A year later, archaeologists working for the capital’s university discover an interesting inscription in Rocky Mountain. The writing describes the same elemental orbs that Maxime already knew about. One thing leads to another, and eventually the main character and his classmate travel to the Rocky Mountains to help the university research the elemental orbs. Little did they know that their simple task would turn into an epic and dangerous adventure…

Pokemon Dark Energy is inspired by traditional RPGs (like Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, etc.) so it tries to have a deeper overarching storyline that isn’t about becoming a champion.
As with RPGs, there are side quests, character naming prompts, and an “active” combat mode that you can select in the options.
